I have loved small businesses for as long as I can remember. Not as a concept or a market segment — as real places, built by real people who bet on themselves and showed up every day to make it work.

I grew up in one. My dad built a family business from the ground up — and I didn't just watch from the sidelines. I worked in it. I saw the long hours, the tight months, the pride when things went well and the weight when they didn't. I learned early that running a business follows you home. It keeps you up at night. It's personal in a way that's hard to explain unless you've lived it.

Since then I've worked for and alongside a number of different small businesses. The same thing shows up every time — talented owners spending too much of their time on the financial side of things when their energy is best spent on growing their business. Excel reports. Bookkeeping. Trying to figure out where the money went. They're capable of handling it — but capable and best-served aren't always the same thing.

That's why I started Stewardship Consulting — based in Auburn, Alabama and working with business owners across the country. I handle the financial side so you can get back to the work you're great at — with the clarity, structure, and plan to back it up. This isn't just a job for me. Small business owners deserve an advisor who genuinely cares whether they succeed. I'm that person.
